We created the captained chartered boat industry in Tahoe 20 years ago in 2006. Before that, you could either rent a boat and drive yourself or buy a ticket on one of the bigger tour boats. After working for a great, local marina operator renting boats, we knew that the best Lake Tahoe boating experience was missing. That is why we started Lake Tahoe Boat Rides. We wanted to provide you with a local, unique, Lake Tahoe experience.

Safety, Convenience, & Amenities
We have a brick and motor check in location at a protected marina for safety and convenience. You will meet your Captain at the Captain’s Corner and they will direct you to your boat.
All of our boats have toilets on board. We may be the only company offering the type of tours that we do that have a bathroom/head on all of our boats.
All of our charter boat tours are customizable and can include water sports activities or swimming if you’d like. You can decide while out there if you would like to participate, observe, or just cruise, sightsee, or lounge in one of the many beautiful coves on Lake Tahoe. Just make sure you book enough time. Lake Tahoe is very big and time goes by faster than you think.
We’re very close to Emerald Bay, Vikingsholm Castle, and Fannette Island. The Tahoe Keys marina is both protected and very close to these iconic Lake Tahoe sightseeing locations.
