Sugar Pine Point State Park is home to the Ehrman Mansion.  This
summer cottage was built in 1903 by Isaias William Hellman, President
of Wells Fargo Banks.  It was bequeathed to his daughter, Florence
Ehrman. The structure known as the Pine Lodge and its outer
buildings are open to the public for guided tours.

Also on the estate is a preserved log cabin of General William Phipps,
one of the first settlers, built in 1872, the cabin still contains original
handmade furniture.  The setting gives the vacationer a view of the
pioneer lifestyle.

Our guest can get dropped off at the Ehrman Mansion pier to explore
the estate for free.  Admission to the boathouses during the summer
season is free.
